Stop Guessing: How to Match Industrial Grating and Metal Mesh to Your Actual Site Conditions

There's no universal 'best' metal grating or stair tread for every job. If a vendor tells you otherwise, they're selling what they have—not what you need.

I'm a quality compliance manager at an industrial materials company. I review roughly 200 custom-fabricated orders a year—everything from fiberglass grating for a chemical plant to perforated metal panels for an architectural façade. Think a mezzanine floor in a retail store, a pedestrian bridge in a park, or the entrance to a municipal building. People will walk on it every day. It needs to look good for years.

Don't fall for the 'one size fits all' pitch. The right choice saves money, meets code, and reflects well on your company's attention to detail.
